Schaart Clothing Co. was founded in 2001 by Vancouver designer Cheryl Densky, who was providing local clients with made-to-measure clothing as well as producing a line of handbags.
We are continuing to expand into the retail and wholesale markets with our collections of ready-to-wear women’s clothing.

Cheryl combines her love of classic styles and textured fabrics to create interesting, wearable clothing for regular and plus size women.

“Heaven for me is being surrounded by beautiful, textured fabrics and trims. I’m very much inspired by the fabrics themselves in creating my designs. I look for materials that feel wonderful; and textured fabrics, whether they’re an intricate weave or contain an embroidered pattern, pair well with my classic styles in creating clothes that people are drawn to.

I’m certainly not a trend-setter or much of a trend-follower for that matter. Sure you keep an eye on what’s happening on the catwalks, but I’d prefer that my clothes are being used in women’s wardrobes for the long-term and not thrown out when the next ‘hot new trend’ is dictated by the big name designers.”

In her spare time(!) Cheryl can be found at various Vancouver fashion schools instructing students on patternmaking and garment construction.
